My supervisor said she had given me a verbal warning before but I have no record of us having such conversation neither have a received anything state a written warning. In addition there is nothing to discribe this type of situation as a wrongful act in our Employee Handbook. Do you have any advice on if/how I may dispute this write up or if I should just accept it?... Feeling bumbed out because I was actually doing what I thought was best at the time to catch up without going in to overtime.Godsgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09367225046219179086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1685903630161577363.post-58782553829948962802017-01-02T23:45:42.633-05:002017-01-02T23:45:42.633-05:00Hello, I am being told at my work we have to walk ...Hello, I am being told at my work we have to walk to work due to there not being availble parking spots. We are to park in a church parking lot and walk the rest of the way. I was wondering why we could not park on the public streets and was told we would get a ticket and it was illegal to do so. I am fine with walking a small distance but I just recently found out the what they said was a lie. T checked with the city ordance and local police. I was directed to an artical 3 14-308 for parking prohibited areas. The public street is not listed on the citys web site. This means to me they lied. What can i do about this? The problem with cookie cutter handbooks is that they might contain policies that don't apply to your company, may have things that are illegal in your state or locality, and might not contain things you need. I would recommend talking to a management-side employment lawyer in your state about having one custom made for your company.Donna Ballmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03603733714342746822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1685903630161577363.post-46888542234531038022012-08-11T16:32:20.668-04:002012-08-11T16:32:20.668-04:00Thank you very much for your blog. Unions generally take the most aggressive stance they can in furtherance of their members' rights, but that doesn't mean the NLRB will side with them. At this point, that at-will argument is just an allegation.Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03640956617175956855noreply@blogger.com
